The Well Stocked Pantry

Almond milk

Dried beans (black, red, pinto, navy beans…any and all kinds of beans)

Canned beans (Keep plenty of these on hand for quick meals and bean dips.  Choose no sodium or reduced sodium selections.)

Large bags of whole grain brown rice, and wild rice

Black-eyed and yellow-eyed peas

Lentils

Whole grains…farro, wheat berries, whole wheat couscous

Whole wheat pastas (any and all shapes)

Pomi brand chopped tomatoes and strained tomatoes.  (These make the most delicious homemade marinara sauce ever!)

Muir Glen Fire Roasted Tomatoes

Ro Tel diced tomatoes and green chilies

Large cans of whole tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste

Sundried tomatoes

Jars of roasted red pepper

Artichoke hearts packed in water

Hearty green and kalamata olives

Jars of mustards…Dijon mustard, hearty country mustard and yellow mustard

Vinegars of all types…rice wine, balsamic, cider, red wine, sherry and white vinegar

Cooking wine…red, white, marsala, sherry and any other favorites

Vegetarian bouillon and vegetarian broth

Pure maple syrup, agave nectar and honey ( These are the main sweeteners I use in both cooking and baking. )

Cans of pure pumpkin (Use equal amounts of pumpkin for the oil in any recipe.)

Egg Replacer (use in place of eggs when baking)

Applesauce

Vidalia onions, red onions, lots of fresh garlic

Mini baby dutch or red potatoes.

Old Fashioned Oatmeal

Kashi Brand Cereals ( my favorite is Island Vanilla)

Dried berries…cherries, cranberries, blueberries ( choose those with no added oils)

Pecans, almonds and walnuts (use sparingly for those with heart conditions)

Pitted Dates

Boxes of almond milk ( I prefer the unsweetened varieties)

Popcorn (I use a hot air popper)

Enjoy Life brand semi sweet chocolate chips... dairy free, soy free, nut free

Frozen bananas (freeze with peel off cut in thirds)

Whole wheat pastry flour

Spelt flour

Ground flaxseed ( keep in refrigerator once opened)

Frozen mixed vegetables, frozen baby gold & white corn

Parkers all natural peanut butter (keep in refrigerator)

Pretzel Crisps by Snack Factory (original and everything have no added oils…great for snacking)
